TraynorAppointment

Oscar Traynor arriving at Villa Santa Croce to request permission to form a Government

PORT SAINT LAURENCE (StL), 12th of May 1978 - Oscar Traynor has won the election for leadership of the Progressive Conservative Party in an unopposed election. The leadership election was sparked after the resignation of Sir Kenny Williams, who resigned due to ill-health. Mr.Traynor, who is very popular within the party, went to see the Governor General to request permission to form the new government of Abala. It is widely expect that the new Prime Minister will be more enthusiastic about Europe then his predecessors, though it remains to be seen if their will be any other difference.

Prospective Leaders Speak[]

PORT SAINT LAURENCE (StL)/NICOLEA HEATH (NC), 8th of May 1978 - Upon the announcement of the resignation of Prime Minister William Kenny and the former leader of the Soc Dems, the two largest parties in Abalan politics were left without a leader. It seems as though, today, the void has, at least begun to be filled by two strong prospects, respectively Oscar Traynor (Progressive Conservatives) and Vicente Leferro (Social Democratic Party).
